StyleXStyle Asia Style Collection 2013

Some of you might have known, that last Saturday, StyleXStyle hosted a fashion cum music extravaganza concert which includes celebrities and a taste of fashion from Singapore, Japan and Korea. I really enjoyed myself that night, thanks to Terence of StyleXStyle for sponsoring me a ticket that night. Plus points, Fourth row from the front, right smack in front of the stage area. Couldn't be more thankful for that!

Image vomit below, I'll warn you first. Here are just some of my favourite apparels from the runway. 90% of my favourite ones are brands from Korea of course.





The Korean runway, to me, outshines the rest because it's more interesting and there's a surprise element for each brand that they were showcasing. Some were bright and playful and colourful and includes their Kpop signature as well, while the others were professionally minimal and sleek, simple yet magnificent.

Tony Moly from Korea is my ultimate favourite. No prize for guessing why. Obvious enough right? Cause it's all white and minimal!



My second choice would be DINT. Such a fresh and classy and sophisticated style they own.
I'd totally wear all of them out.




HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENT.
I am still in disbelief that I got to see Korea's SNSD and 2 freaking NE1! Here's a little secret I'd finally expose myself - I listen to Kpop songs at times. Don't worry, this obsession is mild, or not really an obsession I'd say. Okay, I just love 2NE1. It started off when I was back in Junior College, thanks to my friends. You don't even have a clue about this right? Alright, I guess I finally unleashed the Kpop side of me. Don't judge, hehe.

Here's my all-time girl crush from 2NE1 ; Minzy.
Still addicted to this ( click ) song from them. My sister and I also memorized their dance steps!

The 'colourful ones' below are of course the girls from SNSD.




The Singapore fashion scene ain't that bad either. There were a few celebrities that walked the runway too such as Tay Ping Hui, Zoe Tay etc. Now Zoe Tay looked really brilliant that night, with her pixie haircut.

Now Just LOOK at her. I want that dress.

Valentino F/W 2013

Lace, baroque, sequins, beaded, glitter, intricate details, details and more details.

Delicate, Romantic, Sophisticated, Whimsical with a touch Naivety and Fragility and above all Ingenious.

Honestly, I'm never one who perpetually keep up with high end designer's runway shows like how Celine's notion of the mid-century modern made contemporary collection is different than that of Chirstian Dior's or A.P.C's. However, seeing Valentino's F/W 13 Collection in real life is really a form of an eye-candy feast. I love everything about it. Well, so intrigued ( and maybe a little due to sheer laziness ) that I couldn't get myself to take out my bulky camera out to take pictures of every masterpiece. Moreover, the designers for this collection creatively incorporates the very essence of Snow White, Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland into their apparels, which only means "Preppy", a word least described in its fashion statement and catalogue, would still be attainable, even though unintentional. Ahh, preppy, you know how much I love preppy.

and of course, this one helluva piece of perfection number would be my ultimate pick and favourite.
Magnificent beyond any words and expressions could express.

Geometric Mix.

Earlier today, I went to the fashion event hosted by Style Magazine and I must say that's it was pretty smashing. We got to ride on the pretty pink bus which drove all around town with the models waving, dancing and cheering to the music blast. So if you were in town and saw a pink and loud bus, I was on it! I extremely LOVE every thing that the models were wearing down the runway. It's written perfection all over, so much so Fatiha & I went hunting for some pieces of the apparels around Raffles City mall. All in all, I think Style did a splendid job.

Have been buying pants of many many different prints as of late. Well, for my future collection of course. Have always wanted to give the geometric trend a try and I finally did. Who says print on print is always too much and a disastrous clash? Not when you know how to mix and match and style it properly! The key point is, when it gets 'too much' and too loud, throw over something that will act as a neutral apparel for a balanced statement. Just like what I did, with the black silk top... which actually comes with a silk sash too but I tied it around my head to keep my mane in place. That's why I love to dress up, it's never boring.

P.S This is the most efficient in blogging I've ever been. All done in a day and not delayed for days or weeks. I should channel this attitude towards studying instead. Oh my.
